This is a page where I write down blessings I received during the day as my way of thanking God for his continued protection and providence.

Actually I finished posting this blog yesterday (was out of town for 1 1/2 days and had no access to the net) but one of my fingers having a mind of its own, clicked the wrong key...and like magic the blog disappeared!
So here I am reposting and hoping it will stay!
1. Quiet Time. Time to meet the Lord in prayer. I read somewhere that no one can come to prayer unless the Holy Spirit calls her/him to. Thank you for calling me to prayer. I feel refreshed, renewed and strengthened after each encounter.
2. Second chances. Thank you for reminding me that there is a person I have to forgive unconditionally. You are a God of second chances. You have given me many second chances, why should I deny this person a second chance ... unconditional forgiveness!
3. Home. Thank you for a place I call my own (from my own sweat, happily, no tears involved!), my haven. A place I can always go back to at the end of each day. It's where I am most relaxed and most myself even if most of the time it looks lived-in. "Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home!"
4. Friends... they are Your gifts to me. May I be to them what they are to me... a help in time of need, someone to exchange laughter, banter, or just shoot the breeze with while solving the problems of the world, someone to cry with. Somebody from church asked me yesterday if I don't get lonely living alone. The question got me thinking, how does it feel to be lonely?
5. CA2020. This is my bizniz community and it is helping me to reach my goal. In ca2020 I have a support group that does not allow me to forget I have goals to achieve in order to live my dreams, yes, even at my age! You don't stop dreaming just because you're retired! Bless my efforts Lord, that they may bear much fruit.
6. Safe trip. . . to and from Manila. May the people who were the reason for the trip continue on in their walk to financial freedom.
7. Plugged Leak. Morning after "Basyang" I found a small puddle of water on the stairs...leaky roof! Nothing which vulca seal and a new coat of paint could not repair.
8. Acceptance. By Your grace I've been able to accept FINALLY, the intrusion into my comfort zone by some people who have not yet learned to be sensitive to other people's needs. I weighed the possible consequences of telling them no matter how diplomatically (a friend cautioned me, "wag kang masyadong magtatataray dyan"!)and decided to just wait till they remember where they left their good manners. I cannot change other people but I can change mysel. And believe me I am beginning to see small but happy changes!

There was very little opportunity for interaction with others today. I stayed home the whole day. I wonder, though if I will be able to count ten blessings to be thankful for...hmmm let me see...
1. Sound Sleep. Woke up feeling chirpy and relaxed. Thanks for a good night's rest!
2. Opportunity. successfully invited three friends to attend the free Wealth Course of ca2020.
3. Web chat. Caught up with two friends who are several time zones away. It is always pleasurable connecting with friends, be it on the web or on a face to face basis.
4. Cool weather. The rains that started at noontime brought this about. No need to turn on the electric fan...no need either to water the plants outside. Less power consumption, less water consumption translates to money, time, effort, saved!
5. Laughter. courtesy of a 3-year old girl, daughter of a neighbor. I never can tell what she will say next. But always, I am amused. It is a joy interacting with her just by being herself, a spunky, chubby, friendly little girl. She loves chocolates, especially if it comes from my fridge!
6. Learning from a kid. A Grade Five Facebook friend who was online when I was, taught me how to put a heart, smile, and a person's head in the chat box. Now I can spice up my chat with these icons. Who would ever guess that a kid young enough to be my grandkid taught me how! Thank God for little angels.
7. PLDT Landline Promo. Because of this one-year promo (mine is up to 1st week of November) I was able to make two FREE long distance calls. the first call was to explain why backing out of a promise made was not the best thing to do. The second call was to make arrangements for the return of stuff I borrowed. Both calls ended on a pleasant note. Ties strengthened.
8. Win-win solution. Thanks for a win-win solution to a potentially thorny situation.
9. Left-over food. I found fried rice and fish omelet in the fridge, enough for dinner! It just needs reheating and presto no need to cook dinner and I love fried rice!

Am thankful for these blessings:
1. Rain. It cooled the atmosphere, which made the rest of the day pleasant and not humid. It also cleaned the earth and replenished the underground streams.
2. Strength. Went to the wet market early this morning to get a week's supply of fish (I have since stopped eating red meat) and veggies. When I carry heavy objects my hip bones protest!
3. Cookbooks. Tried a new fish dish today...sinanglay. I've had enough of fried fish and fish paksiw, eeeww! Wrapped the fish in mustasa leaves instead of pechay.
4. Appetite. Two weeks ago I got sick. I had no appetite even when the fever had subsided. Even water tasted bitter! Now I can eat again, and heartily too!
5. My ca2020 community. My coaches texted me that they will support my product presentation on August 9 to ensure that I close a deal!
6. Bank "Express Lane". The Tellers were serving clients 56 and 57 when I came in to pay my bills. I got #76 and it was 3 P.M. already. I had been standing for around 7 minutes when the Manager appeared and got my bank transaction...express lane for the elderly, hahaha!
7. Downtime. Late afternoon and early evening are downtimes for me...time for prayers and for thinking about anything, just thinking. A habit I've had since college.
8. Bonding Time. Opportunity to bond even if briefly with somebody who I pray I'll learn to appreciate for the what she is and not how I want her to be.
9. Peace and Quiet. Late this pm, I came to a decision to start this blog. It took a while to think of a theme and a title... and here it is!
10. Water!. In the bathroom. Thanks to Noel, the maintenance man of our subdivision, there's water again flowing in my bathroom!

Welcome to My Blog
Welcome to my blog!
I used to keep a journal on which I write at the end of each day and be thankful for at least 10 blessings. It was difficult at first coming up with 10 but as 'practice makes perfect' there would be many times when am able to come up with more than 10! We receive more than 10 blessings from the Lord each day, rain of blessings even, am sure, but most go unrecognized!
Am taking up journalling again but this time in a blog, as my way of thanking the Lord for his continued protection and providence.
